Victory Is Ahead!

From 4 likes to a Target partnership – this is Tabitha Brown’s story.

Ever heard of Tabitha Brown? She didn’t “blow up” overnight. In fact, her first YouTube video reportedly got 4 likes. Yes, just four.

Seven years ago, while driving for Uber, Tabitha shared a heartfelt video about a Whole Foods sandwich. That one video opened the door to a partnership with Whole Foods. But here’s the key: she’d been putting in the work long before that moment.

Fast forward to today, Tabitha has built an empire, collaborating with brands like Target and McCormick, among others. Her success shows us that victory is within reach when we remain committed and consistent.

What if she had given up because she got only four likes on her first video?

Tabitha’s journey is a testament to what can happen when we pursue our goals with determination and faith. Here are three life lessons from her story:

Life Lessons for Pursuing Your Goals:

  1. Be Authentic Tabitha never created a persona to fit in. She showed up as herself, quirks and all. There are hundreds of teas and coffees on the shelf; someone will love yours.
  2. Stay Consistent Even when it seemed like no one was watching, Tabitha kept going. Consistency is what keeps you in the game long enough to win.
  3. Take a Stand She wasn’t afraid to speak openly about her faith, even if it wasn’t popular. Not everyone will agree with you, and that’s okay. Stay true to your values.

These principles don’t just apply to business success. They’re equally powerful for building wealth.

Money Lessons for Building Wealth:

  1. Start Small If all you can save is $5 a month, start there. Small actions build financial muscles for bigger steps later. Even $5 a week becomes $260 a year; enough to start an emergency fund
  2. Be Patient Just like Tabitha’s first few videos didn’t gain traction right away; your savings might not feel like much at first. Keep at it. Success compounds over time.
  3. Keep Growing Over time, small efforts compound. One day, you’ll look up and be amazed at how far you’ve come. Your own “Tabitha Brown moment” in your bank account.

Your Call to Action:

What goal, financial or otherwise, have you been putting off because you’re waiting for the “perfect” moment? Start small today. Write it down, take one step, and stay consistent.

This week, I challenge you to save an extra $10 or spend 10 minutes learning about investing. Small steps lead to big victories.

Fun Financial Fact: Did you know the largest denomination of U.S. currency ever printed was the $100,000 bill? It featured President Woodrow Wilson and was used only for transactions between Federal Reserve Banks, not for public use!
